1GSPS ADC Module
The 1GSPS-ADC-Module is a dual channel analog to digital converter module with a sample rate up to 1 GHz and 8 bit word length. Due to the integrated Virtex4 SX35 device, digital postprocessing ( e.g. decimation filter) can be applied directly on the module with high clock rates.
The module has been designed for use with the FPGA-Prototyping-Platform FFP-Basic. Nevertheless standalone-operation is also applicable. It is composed of two separate PCBs, the ADC-Board and the Virtex4 SX35-Board. The ADC-Board contains the ADC chip, clock generation and analog components. The Virtex4 SX35-Board contains the FPGA chip and voltage conversion. The ADC-Board has to be plugged on the top of the Virtex4 SX35-Board.
