1GSPS DAC Module
The 1GSPS-DAC-Module is a dual channel digital to analog converter module with a sample rate up to 1 GHz and 14 bit wordlength. Due to the integrated Virtex4 SX35 device, digital preprocessing (e.g. interpolation filter) can be applied directly on the module with high clock rates.
The module has been designed for use with the FPGA-Prototyping-Platform FFP-Basic. Nevertheless standalone-operation is also applicable. It is composed of two separate PCBs, the DAC-Board and the Virtex4 SX35-Board. The DAC-Board contains the DAC chip, clock generation and analog components. The Virtex4 SX35-Board contains the FPGA chip and voltage conversion. The DAC-Board has to be plugged on the top of the Virtex4 SX35-Board.
