ADC-Board data-sheet (492 KB / PDF)

The ADC conversion board is designed for wideband analog I/Q demodulation.

The board includes 2 complete Receiver with separate I/Q channels. Four A/D converters (AD9430/Analog Device) with high resolution (12 Bit) and accuracy are used. The data converters can operate with clock frequency up to 200 MHz.

The 200 MHz clock generation, distribution and synchronisation to external reference frequency is placed on the ADC board. The ADC board can operate with a external 200 MHz clock (without PLL device and reference clock) and can deliver 2 clocksignals for external boards (up to 200MHz / TTL).

The A/D converters, the PLL (ICS8432-101) and Clock distributor device (ICS87322I) are configurable via DIP-Switches.

To achieve improved decoupling from digital noise sources, separate voltage regulators are used for generation of analog and digital supply voltages.

A/D converters are clocked with 200 MHz. The data buses are split into two branches, each clocked with 100 MHz. The main system clock (100 MHz) is fed to external connectors.

The AD-Conversion Board has a separate power connector for +5V Power supply. The ADC-Board is constructed as an add-on board for the following FPGA platforms:
