In this project, low energy consumption and a very compact structural design were fundamental specifications. Therefore, the smallest component from the Zynq-7000 product family was selected, with only one ARM processor.
The assembly contains the following main components:
- FPGA/SoC type Xilinx Zynq-7000S (XC7Z007S)
- Micro-SD memory card with a maximum capacity of 400 GB
- DDR3L memory
- Camera interface (LVDS, MIPI)
The signal processing encompasses the implementation of differing camera interfaces (e.g. LVDS, MIPI), formatting of the image data and storage on the SD card.
